The Canine Ranch is a small family-operated dog boarding and training facility located in a rural setting in the Sierra Foothills. We are a husband-and-wife team with a family environment that stives to promote a positive impact on a professional level. Changing lives one dog at a time.

Darick is our head trainer and a craftsman by trade with 28 years of experience. He builds barns, steel buildings and also is a part time horse farrier. He interned at Pioneer Animal Hospital for 3 years.
Darick has trained and worked with hunting and herding breeds since age 8. He started with 4-H and FFA, raising and showing farm animals and working stock dogs in the agriculture industry. Darick has 5 years of experience as a Decoy for k9 and sport dogs and continues his training alongside world renown professional decoys.
Amina has owned and worked with a variety of dogs from toys to large breeds. She is a member of the APDT, earned core CEU's with the AKC Canine College and has apprenticed under professional dog trainers, participated in dog shows, trials, seminars clinics, workshops and events. Amina has taken extensive courses in animal husbandry, canine reproduction, specializing in epigenetics, neonate rearing, ENS/ESI, Bio sensor programs and Puppy Culture and Certified in the AviDog program.
She has titled 3 dogs in AKC and PSA. She is a certified AKC CGC and ATT Evaluator and will continue to expand her training methods.
Our vast knowledge and experience with a majority of dog breeds has given us an opportunity to provide a valuable service we can share with others.
